New Video: Flying Flannel V - Oregon
It’s fall and so it’s time to break out the flannel and shoot my end of season video. For this, the fifth season of Flying Flannel, we shot a bunch of trails around my new home state of Oregon. And, with the exception of the Black Rock Bike Park sequence, all riding is within 20 minutes of my home in Bend.
In the video is Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, Black Rock Bike Park, The Lair, Tiddlywinks, Lone Wolf, Sand Canyon (Horse Butte), and a red cinder cone in the Deschutes National Forest.
It was a blast shooting this and we had some amazing conditions, especially on Lone Wolf. The hardest part for me was the dirt jump sequence. While I had hit all the jumps earlier this spring, it had been six months since I had last rode them. The move from riding a big DH bike all summer to a tiny DJ bike was a bit of an adjustment, especially with the large hits on the Apollo 13 line.
I hope you enjoy it!
